The “Government School Excellence Award” reflects the concern and keenness of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in developing the education sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, improving its outcomes and triggering creativity and competitiveness in education in line with the aims of Bahrain’s Education Reform Project.

This Award is given to government schools receiving an “Outstanding” judgement over three consecutive cycles of reviews or more as part of the performance reviews conducted by the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA). The winning schools were honoured by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at the Government Forum, namely: Aminah Bint Wahab Primary Girls School in 2016, Rabia’a Al-Adaweyia Primary Girls School and Al-Rawdha Primary Girls School in 2017 and Al-Orouba Primary Girls School in 2018.
