BQA issues Set No. (47) of reports on the results of the VET institutions and NQF operations

The Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA) issued the Set No. (47) of reports on the results of the performance reviews of the VET institutions and NQF operations, which included (20) review reports of the VET institutions, and (59)  reports of the NQF operations. These included the review reports of (2) vocation providers and (18) academic programmes offered by the HEIs; in addition to the reports on the institutional listing of (4) vocational providers, placement of (16) national qualifications, re-validation of (30) national qualifications, alignment of (5) foreign qualifications, and archiving of (4) national qualifications on the NQF.

 

 

In a statement, Dr. Maryam Mustafa, Chief Executive of the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), confirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain is keen to continue to improve the performance of its education and training institutions in order to achieve the objectives of the sustainable development march led by our beloved Leader, His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, together with the continuous follow-up of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa,

 

The BQA CE pointed out that the Authority adopts transparency and professionalism principles in the issuance of its reports, which provide professional feedback that contributes positively and effectively to the development of the education and training institutions activities and ensures the quality of their performance.

 

This Set of Reports has been issued upon being ratified by the Council of Ministers. This brings the total number of approved review reports since the commencement of Cycle 4 Reviews to (29) review reports of training providers and (58) academic programmes reports in accordance with Cycle 2 of the Academic Programme Review Framework.

 

With regard to the NQF operations, and with the ratification of this Set of Reports, the total number of institutions listed on the NQF accounted to (37) institutions, together with the placement of (253) national qualifications and alignment of (53) foreign qualifications on the NQF.
