The Vocational Provider Improvement Strategy Coordination Committee (VPIS) held its virtual first meeting of 2022 on Wednesday, 2 March 2022, under the chairmanship of the Acting General-Director of the General Directorate of Educational & Vocational Institutions Reviews of the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), Dr. Hasan Al Hammadi, in the presence of representatives of members of the Committee representing the education and training sector institutions.

The teleconference meeting was held to update the education and training sectors and discuss a number of activities and reports of the BQA, strategic partners and stakeholders in this sector, in the light of continued collaboration and joint coordination between the Authority and the Committee members.

During the meeting, a number of activities and reports issued by the Directorate of Vocational Reviews (DVR), Directorate of Private Schools and Kindergarten Reviews (DPS) and the Directorate of National Framework Operations (DFO), of the Education and Training Quality Authority, together with reports of the Ministry of Labour and Social Development and the Ministry of Education on the achievements of the concerned sectors in 2021, were reviewed

An update on projects and development activities relating to the education and vocational training sectors have also been provided by the Education Group of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education & Training (SCDET).​
