QQA spreads the awareness of the National Qualifications Framework

The National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education and Training (QQA) has held a workshop in cooperation with the British Counsel entitled ‘Learning Outcomes and Assessment of Learners’.
The workshop, which comes as part of a capacity building programme aimed at increasing awareness of the vocational sector of requirements of National Qualifications Framework (NQF), was facilitated by Ms. Prasitha Menon who is a training/quality practitioner with expertise in quality assurance, auditing and workforce development.
“As part of The National Authority for Qualifications & Quality Assurance of Education & Training (QQA) commitment to raising awareness and building capacity; QQA, in conjunction with the British Council-Bahrain, held a workshop to emphasize on the important role of the vocational training as an emerging sector which contributes along to the educational sector and helps in human development in various sectors”, QQA CE Dr.Jawaher Al Mudhahki said.
“QQA has stressed the role of the vocational sector through its core business, especially in the implementation of the National Qualifications Framework which focuses on the value and quality of the educational as well as the vocational qualifications”, she added.  
On the other hand, The General Director of the National Framework for Qualifications, Dr. Tariq Al Sindi said, “The scope of the workshop covers Learning Outcomes, Assessment Techniques and Design; and Verification. It is expected that the workshop will assist in developing academic/training capacity, and spread the quality assurance culture through preparation towards mapping qualifications on the different National Qualifications Framework levels”.
The National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education and Training (QQA) had launched the experimental phase of implementing the National Qualifications Framework with the contribution of 17 educational and training institutions aiming at mapping 79 qualification on the 10 level scale of the Framework.
