National Qualifications Framework Advisory Committee Holds Its Second Meeting of 2026

The National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Advisory Committee held its second meeting of 2026, during which the Committee recommended the listing of two training institutions, the placement of 18 national qualifications on the NQF, the alignment of two foreign qualifications, and the re-validation of four national qualifications.

The Committee reviewed examples of international good practice in determining the levels of the qualifications and their comparison against a number of international qualifications frameworks. The Committee also reviewed NQF Bahrain’s model for implementing the NQF, which reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s progress in developing a comprehensive national qualifications system aligned with international best practices. In addition, the Committee discussed the latest updates related to higher education and vocational training sectors.
