SCETD Ratified a New BQA Set of Education & Training Review Reports


​Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA) has published a new set of its periodic reports, which monitor the quality of the performance of education and training institutions and the findings of the institutional listing and qualification placement on the NQF upon being ratified by the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training chaired by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training (SCETD), at its meeting held on Wednesday, 21 April 2021.

 

The set covered the findings of review of an academic programme within the Cycle 2 Academic Programme Reviews, eight academic programmes follow-up visits in the Cycle 1 of the programme reviews. The Council was also briefed on the results of the National Qualification Framework (NQF), which includes the findings of the institutional listing of a vocational training institution and the placement of 27 national qualifications.

 

In this context, His Excellency Mr. Ayman Bin Tawfiq Al-Moayyad, Minister of Youth and Sport Affairs, BQA Chairman, said that the respected government, in cooperation with the education and training sector across the Kingdom of Bahrain, continues to improve the performance of the education and training system in the light of the demands of the times and the aspirations of the future in line with the Bahrain's Economic Vision 2030. His Excellency Mr. Al-Moayyad pointed out that the education and training sectors are crucial and has had technical infrastructure, skilled human resource, laws and review mechanisms of the performance of education and training institutions under the supervision and follow-up of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training chaired by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training (SCETD​​), not to mention the BQA efforts in reviewing and evaluating the performance of education and training institutions across the Kingdom of Bahrain.

 

On her part, Dr. Jawaher Shaheen Al Mudhahki, Chief Executive of the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), said that the BQA keeps watch on achieving the goals of the development and quality of the education system and upgrading education and training institutions. As the BQA seeks to build national capacity and has access to the local, regional and international models in the field of quality of learning outcomes, the BQA has organised periodic workshops to disseminate knowledge and develop expertise and capacity building remotely, which are implemented and managed by Bahraini experts. This is in addition to holding virtual conferences and forums, with the participation of all stakeholders and strategic partners of the education and training sector.
